WSP establishes minimum requirements for admission to all training programs. Some training programs have admission requirements beyond these requirements. Check consult the specific program you're interested in for any additional admissions criteria for that program.
All applicants are required to
Hold an advanced degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. or its equivalent from an accredited foreign institution in a mental health field.
Requirements on familiarity with and training (experience) in the field and in psychodynamic psychotherapy vary by program. Please consult your program of interest for more information.
Admission to each training program is by application and requires interview by faculty. Please consult your program of interest for more information.

The nonrefundable $50 application fee, which applies to all applicants (except residents of the Meyer Treatment Center), can be paid by:
Note: Applications will not be considered complete until all required supplemental documents are received by the WSP Administrative Office. Once submitted as part of your application, application materials become the property of WSP and will not be returned or released to other institutions. Please keep a copy for your records. Students who have applied but not enrolled by the established deadline must complete and submit a new application package for admission with a non-refundable $50 application fee.
We recommend that the admission application be completed at least 4-6 weeks in advance of the intended course date to maximize enrollment options and financial planning.
Applicants interested in applying for multiple training programs are encouraged to select the programs of interest on their application, submit the non-refundable $50 fee (per program), and tailor their supplemental documents for each program of interest.

Application Processing Time
The average application processing time varies from 4-8 weeks per application, depending on your program's application process. Individual programs may require additional documents for consideration. All applicants will be considered on an individual basis without regard to national and ethnic origin, religion, age, gender, marital status, disability or sexual orientation. Please consult your program of interest for more information.

Notification of Program Decision
The WSP Administrative Office will notify applicants by email when program decision has been made regarding applications. Acceptance into a program will be formally announced by letter and accompanied by an Enrollment Agreement stating policies concerning payments, attendance, evaluation, documentation, withdrawal, and refunds. Enrollment Agreements must be completed, signed, and returned by May 31st for current students and August 1st for new students.
