Earn CE Credits

Whether it's for professional development or licensure and certificate renewal, earning continuing education is important for all mental health professionals. At the Washington School of Psychiatry, we make it easy (and affordable) for counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers to earn the CE credits while learning from and training with the best in psychodynamic psychotherapy in person and online.

Psychologists

The Washington School of Psychiatry is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA)* to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. We maintain responsibility for programs and their content.

*While the APA CESA office does not have a list of states that accept CE credit for APA-approved sponsors such as WSP, they have a fully updated list of APA-approved sponsors.

Social Workers

The Washington School of Psychiatry is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education learning activities and maintains full responsibility for this program.

Mental Health Counselors & Therapists

The Washington School of Psychiatry is a National Board for Certified Counselors-Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #6388, and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. We maintain responsibility for programs and their content.

*Many states accept CE programs offered by APA and NBCC approved sponsors to fulfill the CE requirements for Marriage and Family Therapists. Please check with your state board.

Psychiatrists

The Washington School of Psychiatry is accredited by MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The School designates each session for a maximum number of AMA PRA Category I Credit(s)™.

Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. For training programs and select study groups: To receive CE credits, attendees must attend at least 80% of the classes within each unit of the program.

Specific questions pertaining to state licensure and attendance requirements should be directed to your state licensing boards.
